UP Fashion Magazine is Miami University’s only fashion publication. The magazine publishes three printed issues per academic year (fall, winter, and spring). My position as a layout designer for the magazine was to create spreads for articles assigned to me by my director (then creative director, Libby Swofford). 
The process behind each spread was utilizing the mood boards presented by the creative director. These mood boards would serve as guidelines for colors and image treatment. Multiple rounds of drafting were completed and critiqued for a refined outcome for the final publication.
Brand guidelines that had to be adhered to include utilizing a 2-column format, as well as being limited to Didot and Adobe Caslon typefaces.
