Bring Your Kids To Work Day
Clients: Centric Brands
In April 2024, Centric Brands held its inaugural Bring Your Kids to Work Day event in the New York Office. The event brought in 60 kids for a day filled with activities that gave children exposure to the fashion industry as well as cultivated their creativity. The event was such a hit that it returned the following year and hosted 80 kids.

My role as a designer was to create branded graphics for the event. Assets included digital designs for the emails that were sent to garner volunteers and attendee sign-ups. The branding continued to be included on printed assets such as a poster, name tags, and tabletop signs.
Creative Direction
To establish a look and feel for the event assets, I began my research by finding other companies' Bring Your Kids to Work Day creative. Examples I stumbled upon included Ford, NBC Universal, and Uber. However, with this being a fashion brand, my challenge was to create a design that would reference our industry. I also strove to create a design that could read as gender-neutral. My research led me to find examples of children's illustration styles and bright colors. I was also inspired by fashion illustrations, and, namely, Chanel's Mother's Day ad campaign that used children's drawings of the merchandise.

Execution
Ultimately, I decided to play on the children's illustration look and feel by drawing products from Centric's most recognized brands - Avirex, Herve Leger, and Robert Graham, to name a few. I drew the illustrations by using Procreate. Adding sewing needles and some thread were the final touches needed to allude to the creative nature of the fashion industry.
